118-132 London Road.  This appears to allow mopeds etc to wait along the shop frontage and potentially block the access for buses.

In addition, Nando’s will require some collections to be made from the front of the site in order to service the ancillary take-aways service that forms part of its operation.  These collections would be between 11.30 and 23.00 hours, 7 days per week in line with the restaurant’s trading hours. Such collections will be made on foot, or by bicycle/motorcycle (see 2.3.5 to 2.3.7 of the new Delivery Service Management Plan).

Notes for the meeting 15/12/2022

Police Letter about 101 email address in full:

Recently all 43 police forces (as well as associated police bodies) in the UK were on-boarded to Single Online Home (our Sussex Police Website); a new, nationally consistent ‘digital police station’. This new digital public contact forum has been live for some time now and, as such, has resulted in this email account becoming obsolete.

The Single Online Home website now affords you the ability to report not only crime, but also submit general enquiries too. Email has proven to not be an effective tool for you to report incidents into Sussex Police and has often led to emailing back and forth in order to obtain the required information. With advancements in the Single Online Home site, we are able to structure the information being submitted and complete your report in a more efficient manner.

Please rest assured that this is not an unusual step – many other forces do not operate an open and unstructured channel of reporting incidents such as email, as this provides limited opportunities for us to get it right for you, first time, and to deliver the outstanding service that we aim for. This advent of the Single Online Home signifies one of the most significant changes in UK policing since the 999-emergency number was rolled out across in the UK in 1976. The reason behind its creation was to connect the public with the police through a digital channel that will be as helpful, personal and reassuring as approaching an officer on the street.

This email account will therefore be decommissioned on Monday 22nd August 2022. From now, please use the following two links to report non-urgent incidents to us and submit general enquiries. Please note that any emails to this account after Monday 22nd August 2022 will not be actioned.

As always, please dial 999 if: a serious offence is in progress or has just been committed; someone is in immediate danger or harm; property is in danger of being damaged or; a serious disruption to the public is likely.

Electoral Boundary decision

A consultation closed on August 15th, and a final recommendation was issued on 4th October 2022. This was “laid in draft in Parliament” on 8th November 2022. Assuming it is accepted it will come into force in time for the elections in Brighton and Hove in May 2023.

The original consultation noted that “St Peter’s and North Laine (SNPL)” was a very big ward. Our submissions queried the original recommendation, by which London Road would have been divided down the middle across 2 wards. The recommendation now puts London Road itself within the new ward “West Hill and North Laine” and puts Viaduct Road (North side) into a rejigged “Round Hill” ward.

City Plan part 2 – this was adopted on 20th October as follows:

Copies of the Adoption Statement, the adopted City Plan Part Two, the Adopted Policies Map, City Plan Part Two Implementation & Monitoring Plan, the Sustainability Appraisal Report and associated adoption statement and the Inspector’s Report are available to view on the council’s website at: Adopted City Plan Part Two (brighton-hove.gov.uk)

https://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/adopted-city-plan-part-two

I believe I am correct in saying that submissions were made on behalf of the London Road area during the consultation process. The main relevant sections are to do with the Engineering Depot, New England Road, the Greenway, and the Open Market.
